MPPSC Mains Strategy for Freshers
According to every year's MPPSC examination procedure mains is generally held in December,so we have around 8 months for the preparation of mains,
which is enough if you are able to devote 3-4 hours daily in the starting and than simultaneously increasing your efforts and hours.
First and most important task is the selection of Optionals... they cover 1200 marks in the Mains examination.You have to choose any two subjects from below given list of 29 subjects according to your interest,availability of Study material,Coaching,Guidance etc

After selecting your optionals but the previous year mains papers of that subject so that you can get an overall idea about the level of questions asked,important topics and pattern of marks distribution.
Owing to the Scaling factor Public Administration, Geography, Sociology, History are best,but history has vast syllabus.
Criminology and Forensic Science has become popular in recent days due to its small syllabus and limited scope of questions asked.
Also Science and Engineering Subjects like Physics,Chemistry,Engineering are not much productive due to very less number of aspirants opting for them.
Public Administration is a very good choice as a substantial part of its syllabus overlaps with the Indian Polity,Constitution part of General Studies Syllabus.Its coaching center and study material are easily available.
You should go through the syllabus of optionals you are interested in and consult any senior who have appeared in MPPSC exam before.
